Riverdale staff and Charlie the Cardinal welcomed students back at their Open House, and again on the first day of school. Students and parents were so excited to have Charlie the Cardinal greet them as they walked up. There were many photo opportunities to be added to their memoir. Students and parents toured the beautifully cleaned school with decorated doors and classrooms where students received welcome gifts to help kick off the new school year.

A school community partner came out to paint games on the school’s blacktop and sidewalk for the students to enjoy while at recess. Games included hopscotch (with motivation), four squares, bulls eye and long jump (which can be math games). Since the start of school, teachers have shared how excited the students are to have these outdoor activities.
