Nottoway Elementary School was excited and eager to kick off the new year. The school hosted a playground play date for the incoming Pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students and the staff gathered in fellowship with Pastor Donte Futrell of Ebenezer Baptist Church for a back-to-school luncheon prior to welcoming all students back during open house.

The staff had the opportunity to celebrate back to school with members of the Southampton County School Board and Superintendent Dr. Gwendolyn P. Shannon with a meal for highest teacher attendance for the 18-19 school year.

The school also received several generous supply donations from Millfield Baptist Church, Farmer’s Bank, the Sedley Women’s Club, and Tucker Swamp Baptist Church.

A successful school year would not be possible without the help of parents and community members. The school would like to thank everyone who supported the beginning of school events.

Nottoway Elementary School is pumped up for the best school year yet!
