Jason B. Lumsden, left, with his son, Zane, came from Franklin County to participate in the Virginia Peninsula Sportsmen’s weekend show at the Southampton County Fairgrounds. They brought in three entries, and Jason won first place in Class 12 with a six-pointer scoring 139 3/16. He harvested that deer on Dec. 28, 2018. —Stephen H. Cowles Tidewater News
