PORTLAND, Ore. — Harrison Lee “Bro” Britt, 58, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019, in Portland, Oregon.

He was born in Southampton County, Virginia, to the late Julia and Edward Britt.

He was formerly employed with Denco Sales.

Harrison enjoyed fishing with his father and friends.

During his earlier years he was a member of Mt. Gilead AME Church in Southampton County.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Julia Britt; father, Edward Britt; sister, Frances Sumblin; and great-nephew, Derryl “Little D” Britt.

Harrison is survived by his sister, Mrs. Shelia (Maurice) Harrell of Columbia, South Carolina; and Miss Sandra Britt of Franklin, Virginia; brother-in-law, Earl Sumblin of Franklin; two nieces, Tonia Mitchell and Krista (Marcus) Artis; four nephews, Derryl Britt, Prentis (Nakia) Cumbo, Reshard Sumblin and Arron Sumblin; one great-niece, Nakia Britt; one great-nephew, Tyler Mitchell; one great-great-nephew G’yari Lafferty; and a host of cousins and friends.

The memorial service will be on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 11 a.m. in New Hope Baptist Church, 1415 Rosewood Ave., Franklin.
