FRANKLIN
This Wednesday, Aug. 28, the Downtown Franklin Association and the Christmas Parade Committee will host a fundraiser at the Franklin Dairy Queen on Armory Drive from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m.
During this time, patrons of the Dairy Queen can turn over their receipts to a committee member and Dairy Queen will donate 10 percent of the total amount collected for the Christmas Parade expenses. Please come join in on the fun, get ready for Christmas in August and wear a Christmas hat, scarf, tie or whatever and help support our local parade to be held again this December.
In addition to this fundraising effort, there will also be a Dairy Queen Cruise-In. Owners of antique cars are encouraged to drive up like “old times” and cruise through the DQ parking lot like yesteryear. Several car owners from the Franklin Cruise in on Main Street will be joining the fun when that event is over.
