FRANKLIN

Be part of the fight, and join the American Cancer Society in beating our biggest rival. Volunteer to support the annual Relay For Life of Franklin-Southampton & Emporia-Greensville on June 6, 2020, and help us attack cancer from every angle.

Community volunteers are the backbone of this movement, and you can be part of it right here. The American Cancer Society Relay For Life movement is the world’s largest peer-to-peer fundraising event to save lives from cancer. At Relay For Life events, participants celebrate people who have been touched by cancer, remember loved ones lost, and take action for lifesaving change.

Has cancer touched the life of a loved one? Have you fought the battle personally against this evil disease? Would you like to help destroy cancer? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, please join us as we unite to raise funds to fight cancer. Being a member of a Relay For Life Team or the Event Lead Team doesn’t require a great amount of time, and is one of the most rewarding experiences that you will ever have. Knowing that you can make a positive difference in the life of someone, possibly someone you love, is the best feeling in the world. Please come see what Relay is all about. Looking forward to seeing you.

Funds raised help the American Cancer Society attack cancer in dozens of ways, each of them critical to achieving a world without cancer — from developing breakthrough therapies to building supportive communities, from providing empowering resources to deploying activists to raise awareness.

Please join us for a meeting for interested community members on Sept. 24, at 5:30 p.m., in High Street United Methodist Church in the Fellowship Hall.
