Thomas, Christine Grizzard celebrating 65 years of marriage

RICHMOND

Thomas and Christine Davis Grizzard are celebrating 65 years of marriage on Sunday, Aug. 25. They were married in 1954 at Hebron Baptist Church in Drewryville.

Tommy and Christine were born six days apart on neighboring farms in Branchville. They grew up together and both graduated from Boykins High School.

They live in Richmond, Virginia, where they have lived most of their married life.

Tommy, a graduate of Virginia Tech is retired from Dominion Power. Christine graduated from Longwood and is retired from Chesterfield County Public Schools.

Their marriage was blessed with two daughters: Terry Tatum (Sherrod) and Julie Hill (John); four grandchildren, Nathan Tatum (Sara), David Tatum (Anne), Rebecca Slocum (Brooks) and Madison Hill (Danielle); and two great-grandchildren, Abigail and Andrew Tatum.

They will be celebrating their anniversary with a small family party at their home in Richmond.
