State Police seek driver who fled scene

GREENSVILLE COUNTY

Virginia State Police are seeking the location of a male driver who fled the scene of a traffic stop on Interstate 95 at exit 13 in Greensville County earlier today, July 16.

According to VSP spokeswoman Sgt. Michelle Anaya, a Virginia state trooper notified the VSP communications center of the traffic stop on I-95, which resulted in a foot pursuit of the male driver. State Police are in the area on I-95 and at Otterdam Road looking for a light-skinned male, approximately 5-foot-7-inches with black or brown hair and eyes, last seen wearing a cartoon character shirt and dark red shorts. The public is asked to contact the VSP by calling 911 or 424-6800 if they see the suspect.

Police say do not approach the suspect. It is unknown if the suspect is armed. The VSP has one suspect in custody and is being assisted by local sheriff’s departments in the search for the male driver.
