COURTLAND — David Junious Fowler Jr., 61, passed away on July 14, 2019.

Born in Suffolk and a lifelong resident of Southampton County, he was a son of the late David Junious Fowler, Sr. and Alice Hayes Fowler. He was also predeceased by a daughter, Carla Fowler; a sister, Toni Elaine Fowler; and a brother, James Roland Fowler.

David was a retired clamp truck driver for the Roll Finishing Department at International Paper.

He loved to hunt and fish.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda Blythe Fowler; daughter, Tina F. Vaughan (Brian); a sister, Joan F. Taint (Tim); three brothers, John Wayne Fowler (Kelly), Daniel Lee “Dukie” Fowler and Willie C. “Dillie” Fowler (Terri); two grandchildren, Carla Grayson Vaughan and Carson David “Davi” Vaughan; and his beloved dogs, Shelby and Izzy.

The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 19, in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. James H. Hyatt Jr. officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home, and suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, VA 22215.
