Franklin Southampton Economic Development and the Downtown Franklin Association excitedly announce the crescendo event of STARTUP Franklin Southampton: Awards Night!

All the planning, studying and presenting will all, quite literally, pay off that evening. Up unto this point, participants have attended seven business education courses, written a business plan, and pitched their company to a panel of judges representing businesses across the region.

Competitors discover who will win the $20,000 grand prize or $10,000 runner-up award to assist in making business dreams a reality.

Special thanks to Bronco Federal Credit Union, the Downtown Franklin Association, Farmers Bank and the Franklin Southampton Economic Development Inc. as funding sponsors.

Community and in-kind sponsors are as follows: Franklin Southampton Area Chamber of Commerce, Insercorp, Main Event, Paul D. Camp Community College, Real Country 101.7 and The Tidewater News.

Award Night is Wednesday, June 5, at the Main Event (112 N. Main Street) starting at 5:30 p.m. Beverages and light snacks will be provided.

Who will be the next LaKenneth Kindred of TaylorMade Fitness? Or Katrina Sykes-Manley of Spoken Interior Homes? I know, we can’t wait to find out either. We hope to see you on Wednesday, June 5, at 5:30 p.m.
