Brianna Johnson, a Chowan University student from Boykins, was recognized at the 65th annual North Carolina Phi Beta Lambda State Leadership Conference, held April 4-7 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
During the conference, each student had the opportunity to attend leadership workshops and compete in a maximum of two judged events. Only the top eight participants in each category were recognized with a certificate. Of these various competitions, Johnson placed first in Accounting for Professionals and fifth in Job Interview.
The Chowan chapter placed second in Eastern Region Professional Division — Foundation Chapter Affiliation Membership and third in Eastern Region Chapter Membership.
Chowan University, a Christian liberal arts university, is located in Murfreesboro, North Carolina.
