The town hall meeting scheduled for Thursday at 6 o’clock in the Southampton County Administrative Building had been postponed.

An accident on Thursday afternoon caused a power outage that has affected the venue.

The meeting was to be hosted by Del. Roslyn Tyler (D-75), with guests Sen. L. Louise Lucas (D-18) and Carlos Hopkins, Virginia Secretary of Veterans and Defense Affairs.

Mary Beth Washington, legislative aide to Tyler, said the meeting will be rescheduled at another time to be announced later.
