FRANKLIN — Cindy Hayslett Porter of Rosewood Avenue, Franklin, departed this earthly life to claim her eternal rest and peace on May 21, 2019, while a patient in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. She was born on Feb. 2, 1967, to Joe L. Hayslett and Barbara Ricks Hayslett.

She was affiliated with House of Prayer and Faith Outreach Tabernacle.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Otis and Mary Ricks; paternal grandparents, Clinton and Ruth Hayslett; and sisters, Angela Hayslett Barham and Windy Hayslett Grant.

Cindy was survived by three sons, Devontá Hayslett, Téquwan Hayslett and TyRell Porter; mother, Barbara Hayslett; father, Joe Hayslett; sisters, Rosalind Reneé Hayslett, Pamela Warren (Earl); one brother, Joe L. Hayslett Jr. (Teresa); two grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The celebration of life will be on Tuesday, May 28, at 1 p.m., in St. Paul Holiness Church, 30056 Sycamore Ave., Sedley, with Apostle C.S. Ricks delivering the eulogy; Bishop Randolph Warren is the host pastor.

Porter’s remains will be placed in the church by 11 a.m. for viewing. The interment will be in Southview Cemetery.

The service with dignity will be performed by Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home Inc., 224 S. Main St.
