FRANKLIN

At 6:34 a.m. on Monday, Franklin officers were called to the cemetery on Beamon Street for a report of a traffic accident. Sgt. Scott Halverson, department spokesman, said that on arrival, officers located an unoccupied 2004 Dodge Intrepid. The vehicle had gone off the roadway striking several grave markers and damaging two headstones.

This incident remains under investigation and anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Franklin Police at 562-8575 or Franklin Crime Solvers at 562-8599.
