Isabelle Araojo competes in NSU contest

On April 29, Isabelle Araojo competed as a finalist in the Norfolk State University School of Business Communication Competition. High school students from across Hampton Roads were eligible to apply through an essay submission where six finalists were chosen to compete for scholarships and cash prizes.
This year’s topic was Robotics: Future Impact on Humanity and Students. Competing with students from across 19 school districts, Isabelle was selected as a finalist for the competition and came back to Southampton County as a runner-up, winning a $500 cash prize.
Isabelle is a junior at Southampton High School and attends The Governor’s School for the Arts in Norfolk. She is pictured with NSU School of Business Dean Glenn Carrington.
