Reese Brock, an eighth grade student at Southampton Middle School, was recently recognized by the website Artsonia as a finalist in their Artist of the Week contest. Artsonia is the world’s largest collection of student art, published by teachers and students from around the world.

Parents and family can view the art online, leave comments and order keepsakes featuring the artwork. Twenty percent of all purchases go back to the SMS Art Department to help buy additional supplies and materials for future projects.

Since joining Artsonia during the 2015-2016 school year, the SMS Art Department has received over $500 for supplies.

Artsonia also sponsors a weekly contest. Finalists for each week are chosen from various grade levels and an online vote determines the winning Artist of the Week.
