WAKEFIELD

UPDATE: As of shortly after 2 p.m. today, the National Weather Service’s Wakefield station has downgraded its severe thunderstorm warning for the Western Tidewater region to a severe thunderstorm watch, which will remain in effect until 9 p.m. this evening. This applies to the city of Franklin and Southampton and Isle of Wight counties.
