The driver of a Commercial Ready Mix Products truck had to be flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment following an accident earlier this week.

Virginia State Troop Jason Vann reported the following to The Tidewater News:

“On Tuesday around 12:21 p.m. I was dispatched to a crash with injuries on Carrsville Highway at John Beverly Drive. When I arrived on the scene I observed an overturned concrete truck in the ditch. Through my investigation I found the truck was loaded, ran off the road and overturned.”

He added that a fire department extracted the driver, who was then airlifted.

No further information is available about the incident.
