WINDSOR — Bertha “Curly” Jones Beale, 78, passed away on April 13, 2019.

She was born in Ivor, Virginia, the daughter of the late Robert Henry Jones and Bertha Lee Jones, and was also predeceased by her husband, Thomas “Pete” Preston Beale Jr.; and three sisters.

Bertha is survived by her daughter, Marie Duke; sons, Vincent Allen Beale and Henry Lee Beale (Karen); seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Susie Poe, Jo Helmstetter, Faye Drewery and Phyllis Bick; three brothers; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The funeral will be on Wednesday, April 17, at 2 p.m., in Windsor Christian Church with the Revs. Basil “Buzz” Ballard and Sam Askew officiating. Burial will follow at Windsor Cemetery.

Friends may join the family for a time of visitation on Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. in Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, Suffolk.
