Meherrin Elementary hosted their annual Mother/Son dance last Friday. Mothers were escorted by their sons to a wonderful night full of dancing and eating.
The Renaissance Fair were the guests of the hour. They came dressed as kings and queens, and were actively engaged with the young men. They taught them how to be gentlemen and how to be respectful in today’s society.
Meherrin’s staff provided games for the mothers and sons; “How well do you know your mother” and a “Party Line.” Meherrin’s teachers and staff enjoyed seeing the male students enjoy this wonderful experience with their mothers.
