COURTLAND — Emily Elizabeth Mobley, 87, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2019, in her home.

Raised in North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Benjamin and Ema Ross Tyer. Emily was the widow of William Matthew Mobley, and also predeceased by two sons, Johnnie J. Mobley and Clifton R. Mobley.

She was a Baptist.

Left to cherish her memory are a daughter Christine E. Guerra (Jack); four sons, Bill Mobley (Darlene), Joe Mobley (Penny), Mike Mobley and Billy Mobley; eight grandchildren, Mary Ann Turner, Tammy Rodriguez, David Guerra, Jon Mobley, Mickel Mobley Jr., Adam Mobley, Ashley Mobley and Mackenzie Mobley; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. David Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Southampton Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home, and suggest that Memorial Donations be made to Courtland Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad.
