A Florida man is accused of distributing nude photos of a Southampton County woman without her permission.

Kenneth Michael Gilley

According to Maj. Gene Drewery, spokesman for the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested Kenneth Michael Gilley, 32, of Kay Road, Bradenton, Florida, on March 20, for charges of unlawful filming, videotaping or photographing of another. Gilley faces two counts this charge, and is also charged with one count of coerce, intimidate or harass by computer and one count of violation of a protective order.

The woman is Gilley’s ex-girlfriend, and also the mother of Gilley’s child. The unlawful photography charges stem from a complaint she made to the Sheriff’s Office on Dec. 24, 2018. On that day, the woman alleged that Gilley had been sending nude photos of her to various individuals, as well as posting them on social media. At least one of the individuals to have allegedly received the images, Drewery said, is under the age of 18.

The woman also alleged that Gilley had assaulted her, and had threatened via computer to come after her. Warrants and a protective order were obtained against Gilley the day of the initial complaint. The woman later came to the protective order hearing and a judge issued a permanent protective order against Gilley.

The week of March 18, a vehicle matching the description that the Sheriff’s Office had been given of Gilley’s was reportedly seen in the area of the woman’s home. Drewry added that further surveillance of the residence on March 20 resulted in Gilley and the woman reportedly being seen together loading a U-Haul truck.

Gilley was taken into custody following a traffic stop of the U-Haul, presented before a magistrate and released on a $10,000 unsecured bond.
