NEWSOMS — Cynthia M. Carver of Everette Street, Newsoms, was born on Sept. 3, 1984,, to Ann Little Carver and the late Walter Carver, in Norfolk, Virginia. She suddenly departed her earthly life and transitioned to her heavenly home.

She was a member of Mount Tabor Baptist Church.

She was employed for several years with Sussex II State Prison, and most recently with Southside Regional Jail in Emporia, Virginia.

Cynthia graduated from Southampton High School in 2003.

She is survived by two daughters, Angel and Amari Jordan; her mother, Ann Carver; one sister, Felicia Carver; one brother, Antoine Little (Antonella); seven aunts; two uncles; other relatives; and many friends.

The memorial celebration will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, in Apostolic Faith Church of God, 608 Oak St., Franklin, Virginia, with the Rev. Jeremiah Cole delivering the message of comfort; Overseer Ronnie Warren is pastor.

Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home Inc., 224 S. Main St., is assisting the family with arrangements.
