Legislators to give post-Assembly report

The Franklin-Southampton Area Chamber of Commerce will host a Post-Legislative “Eggs & Issues” breakfast on Friday, March 15, at 7:30 a.m., in the Franklin Baptist Church fellowship hall. Dominion Virginia Power is the presenting sponsor of this event.
Senators L. Louise Lucas and John A. Cosgrove Jr., as well as Delegates Emily Brewer and Roslyn C. Tyler, have been invited to review the 2019 General Assembly Session and participate in a question-and-answer session.
Facilitating the event will be the vice president for chamber governmental affairs, Randolph Cook of Summit Design & Engineering.
The chamber is coordinating with area high schools to invite government students to participate as guests of business and individual sponsors. Student sponsorships are $10 each.
The chamber’s Legislative committee extends an invitation to the public to attend. Cost is $12 per person for Chamber members and $15 for non-members.
Reservations and student sponsorships must be made prior to the event by calling the Chamber at 562-4900. Breakfast is catered by Fred’s Restaurant.
