Shots fired into occupied house

FRANKLIN

No one was hurt when bullets were fired into an occupied house in Franklin early Thursday morning, according to Capt. Tim Whitt, spokesman for the Franklin Police Department.

At approximately 12:20 a.m., officers were investigating a gunfire complaint when it was discovered that a house in the 300 block of Madison Street had been struck. The occupied residence was struck by multiple rounds that penetrated the house, but causing no injuries.

Evidence of the gunfire was recovered from inside and outside the residence. No other houses were struck during this incident.

There is no suspect information.
