CAPRON
Capron Elementary School was proud to honor Wendi Simmons during National School Counseling Week for her unique contribution to our school as a professional school guidance counselor.
Elementary school guidance counselors work with students, parents and teachers to ensure that academic, social and developmental needs are met. They meet with students individually and visit classrooms to observe learning and socialization as well as teach guidance lessons to the children.
Simmons does an outstanding job providing the knowledge and support that helps students who are dealing with diverse issues to develop positive decision-making skills, communication skills and to develop positive attitudes toward school, their peers and, most importantly, themselves.
The entire school participated in showing their love to Simmons for being such a vital member of the education team, as she strives to ensure that today’s students become the productive, well-adjusted adults of tomorrow.
