The Paul D. Camp Community College Division of Workforce Development will open early bird registration of $40 from Friday, March 1 until Tuesday, April 30, for its popular summer series, Kids College Camp. These fees are non-refundable.

After that date, the fee will increase to $50 per child to reserve their place in the camp. A $5 discount fee will also be available for each additional child in the family after April 30.

Sessions include an array of topics, including sports, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math,) cooking, veterinarian and detective work and theater adventures. A few of the trips include the Children’s Museum, the Norfolk Zoo, Busch Gardens and the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts.

The cost for camp per week (Monday-Friday) is $150, which includes morning and afternoon sessions and a field trip on Fridays. There will be an additional fee for a Busch Gardens trip or you may bring your own season pass if applicable. Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided, however participants must bring their lunch each day. There will be no camp during the holiday week of July 1-5.

Registration and payment may be made online or at the workforce office, 100 N. College Drive, Franklin. For more information, contact Community Education Coordinator Melba Holland at or 569-6062.
