The youth group co-ed basketball & cheer games were played on Jan. 26 in J.P. King Jr. Middle School.

This new co-ed youth basketball program is open to any youth from ages 5 to 18 in the Franklin area that are interested in playing in an organized program. The program also offers a cheering program for those that are interested in learning to cheer.

Special guests to watch the action this week was the Franklin High School Bronco boys basketball team and members of their coaching staff. Bronco Coach Robby Cutchins said that the team had practice that morning before their afternoon game with Altavista High School. He added the staff and the team were honored to be there to watch the youth play.

All games are played on Saturdays at the J.P. King Jr. gym. Game times are based on the breakdown of age groups with the first game tipping off at 9 a.m. Registration is still open to all that are interested.

This program is sponsored by the Youth Group and the Franklin Department of Parks & Recreation.
