FRANKLIN

On Saturday at 12:19 a.m., Franklin Police officers responded to Southampton Memorial Hospital about a 27-year-old Franklin man who had a gunshot wound to his left leg.

According to police spokesman Capt. Tim Whitt, during the course of the officer’s interview with the victim, his versions of the event were inconsistent and did not match up to the physical evidence.
