A Newsoms man faces child pornography charges after Franklin Police discovered evidence of an inappropriate encounter between the man and a 17-year-old juvenile female on social media. The alleged incident occurred in Franklin.

According to Capt. Tim Whitt, spokesman for the Franklin Police Department, Quinton Thomas Myrick, 25, of Westbrook St., Newsoms, was arrested on Monday and charged with the production of child pornography, possession of child pornography, and possession, reproduction or distribution of child pornography, as well as contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

After being presented before a magistrate, Myrick was released on a $1,500 secured bond.
