FRANKLIN

Daniel “Bull” Johnson is a native of Franklin and proud member of the FHS Class of 1994. Since then, Bull has remained active in Franklin City Public Schools as an assistant football coach and is in his 25th year as a coach for the FHS Bronco wrestlers. During that time, he assisted with both of the FHS football state championship teams and has led the wrestling team to several tournament victories. Additionally, several of his wrestlers have earned individual Most Valuable Wrestler awards and have placed at the state level.

In the community, Bull serves on the Franklin-Southampton County Fair Board and is an active member of the Rock Church of Franklin. He is also the co-founder of Western Tidewater Wrestling Club, an AAU wrestling organization that serves both children and adults in Franklin, Southampton County and surrounding areas.

In his spare time, he plays recreational softball, substitutes at Franklin High School, and is a chemical operator for Solenis, an American manufacturer of specialty chemicals for various industries including pulp, paper, oil and gas, chemical processing, and mining.

Bull resides in Franklin with his wife, Carrie (FHS ’92,) and their children: Joshua (FHS ‘19,) Jordan (FHS ’23) and Gabrielle (RCS ’24).
