SEDLEY— Harold Randolph Cook, 84, passed away on Jan. 28, 2019, in Southampton Memorial Hospital.

Harold was a native of Southampton County, a son of the late Charlie and Lizzie Bradshaw Cook. He was also predeceased by four brothers, Clarence, Bobby, Billy and Johnnie Cook.

Harold was a member of Sedley Baptist Church, and a retired foreman with Union Camp Corporation after 42 years of service.

He was an Army veteran.

Harold’s pleasures were woodworking, fishing and volunteering at the Southampton Agricultural & Forestry Museum.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 64 years, Jessie Johnson Cook; a son, Troy R. Cook (Carolyn;) four brothers, Charles Cook (Janice,) Mason Cook (Bernice,) Donald Cook (Janice) and Glenn Cook (Paulette;) two grandchildren, Shelby Thorpe and Amanda Ritter (Andy;) and four great-grandchildren, Garrett, Gannon, Karter and Kolton.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31, in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Jim Foreman officiating. The burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Jan. 30, and suggests that memorial donations be made to The Southampton Agricultural & Forestry Museum, 26315 Heritage Lane, Courtland, VA 23837.
