Suspect wanted in Carolina caught in Franklin

On Thursday, Franklin Police captured a suspect wanted in Bertie County, North Carolina.

According to Capt. Tim Whitt, spokesman for the Franklin Police Department, at approximately 7 a.m., officers, acting on a tip from the Bertie County Sheriff’s Office, responded to an apartment in the 300 block of North College Drive and apprehended 28-year-old Tywan Jonshea’ Outlaw, a.k.a. “Too-da-loo” of Colerain, North Carolina.

According to North Carolina officials, Outlaw has past convictions for violent offenses and was considered to be armed and dangerous. Franklin Police obtained a fugitive warrant on Outlaw and he is being held on a charge of accessory to murder.

He will be remanded to the Western Tidewater Regional Jail pending extradition proceedings.
