Investigators with the Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday served felony warrants on Jason Russell Harrell of Carrsville Highway. This information comes from spokesman Lt. Tommy Potter.

The arrest is in connection with an ongoing investigation into a residential burglary that occurred within the Beaverbrook Mobile Home Community between Dec. 10-12. Numerous items of jewelry and electronics were taken from the home.

During the course of the investigation, Harrell became a suspect into this crime and a search warrant was executed at his home. As a result, warrants were secured for his arrest. Investigators learned that Harrell had recently been arrested on the aforementioned probation violation from Southampton County Circuit Court and was incarcerated at the Western Tidewater Regional Jail. He was served felony warrants for burglary, grand larceny, and obtaining money by false pretenses.

Harrell remains at the jail.

Potter added that second suspect, Matthew Bowen of 25, also of Carrsville, was arrested, but he was released on a bond.
