FRANKLIN — Dillon Stanford Joyner, 26, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 31, 2018.
Dillon was a native of Franklin and was a member of Franklin Congregational Christian Church.
As a child, Dillon was a member of the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and played baseball for Sedley, Newsoms and Hunterdale in the Southampton-Sussex Baseball League.
Dillon loved baseball, NASCAR, the Baltimore Ravens, dancing, fishing, cornhole, his friends and his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Roland Lee and Brenda Carpenter Joyner; his brother, Roland Lee Joyner Jr.; three aunts, D.D. Turner, Barbara Donovan and Beverly Carpenter; many cousins and friends; and his beloved dog and best friend, Sampson.
Dillon was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Ernest Carpenter and Betty “Nanny” Baker; and his paternal grandparents, George “Pop” and Evelyn “Maw” Joyner.
The funeral will be at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, in Wright Funeral Home, with the Rev. James H. Hyatt Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and after the service in the funeral home.
