What a wonderful surprise for the Wesson family in Southampton County. Santa decided to make a visit by an unexpected mode of transportation. VCU LifeEvac 1 gave Santa a lift to visit some children who had been anxiously awaiting Christmas.

Boykins Volunteer Firefighters gather around Santa and the Wesson children of Boykins. The jolly old elf came to visit earlier earlier this month, arriving by helicopter.
Boykins Fire and Rescue were on scene as well, to make sure the landing area was clear and all went well. And guess what? Santa’s ride landed him right beside the children’s home. What an amazing sight. Everyone was so excited to see Santa step from the helicopter.
When asked where his reindeer were, Santa replied that they were getting fit for their regular Christmas Eve route. Sometimes Santa likes to make a surprise visit to remind children that he is watching all year long.
Thank you. VCU LifeEvac 1 and Boykins Fire and Rescue for helping Santa make a grand surprise visit. Remember kids, you better not cry, you better not pout, ‘cause Santa sees all!
