Southampton High School students and staff celebrated the holiday season with their annual Christmas assembly. The assembly featured many talented students as they entertained through music and games.

The Southampton High School chorus, directed by Tobias Hill, performed a collection of holiday themed selections. The students featured with solos include Jakari Galloway, Timea Dawson, Tearia Lee and Joseph Poe.

Xavier Fain, band director, led the Southampton High School concert band in an up beat and festive performance. The concert band included a stage full of students that had the audience singing along and thoroughly enjoying each song.

During the previous week, the Miss SHS Fashion Pageant contestants sold over 400 tickets to play “Deal or No Deal” during the assembly. As the contestants entered the auditorium they were announced for the first time to the student body. Each young lady held a case with a dollar amount hidden inside ranging from one cent to $20. Tickets were randomly chosen for students and teachers to come play with the chance to pick up to two cases. Senior Zaire Faltz walked away with the best deal for $20.  A welcomed visitor came to finish off the assembly giving away a basket of goodies raffled by SkillsUSA. Austin Whitehead played the role of our white-bearded visitor in the red suit and gave a “Ho Ho Ho and a Merry Christmas to all!”
