FRANKLIN — Starleigh Virginia Babb of Taft Avenue transitioned to receive her eternal rest and peace on Dec. 11, 2018.

She was born in Drum Hill, North Carolina, to the late James and Florence Cross Eure on July 20, 1937.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary V. Blow and Mabel Nowell; one son, Pastor John Dawson Jr. and his wife, Malinda; one sister, Ethel Mae Evans (Bobby;) eight grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four god-granddaughters, nine god-great-grandchildren; four aunts, Martha Beamon, Bernice Wiggins (Lynn,) Ida Rountree and Louise Jones; and many other loving and caring relatives.

The service honoring her life will be on Saturday, Dec. 15, at 11 a.m. in New Hope Baptist Church, 1415 Rosewood Ave., with Pastor Raphael Elliott delivering the message of comfort; the Rev. Dr. Anthony Goodwyn will be the host pastor. Mrs. Babb’s remains will rest in church for viewing starting at 9 a.m.. The committal and benediction will be in Southview Cemetery.

A traditional service with dignity will be performed by Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home Inc., 224 S. Main St.
