SUFFOLK — Francis Xavier “Frank” Savio, 76, passed away on Sept. 27, 2018, in Southside Regional Medical Center.

Frank was a son of the late William Peter Savio and Kathryn Schroeder Savio, and was also predeceased by two brothers, Thomas and Robert Savio.

He was a Navy veteran and served during the Vietnam War, and worked with electronic calibrations for Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth.

Frank was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of almost 49 years, Ruth Hannah Savio; and a daughter, Mary Kathryn Savio.

The memorial service will be at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 3, in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veteran’s Cemetery in Suffolk.
