A meeting on Isle of Wight County’s proposed comprehensive plan “Envisioning the Isle,” scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 13, in the Windsor Ruritan Clubhouse, has been cancelled due to the issuance of a tropical storm watch for the Hampton Roads area. There were to be two sessions, one from 3:30 to 5 p.m. and another from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Malina Springer, a principal planner for Isle of Wight County, said that the meeting will be rescheduled for a later date, and that details will be posted online and sent out via email when a new date and time are chosen.

The meeting was to be one of several in a third series of public forums on the proposed comprehensive plan. Another is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 18, in the Carrsville Ruritan Clubhouse, 5336 Carrsville Highway, Carrsville, also with sessions from 3:30 to 5 p.m. and 6:30 to 8 p.m.
