COURTLAND — Marylan Richardson Barnes, 96, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018, at Courtland Health and Rehabilitation Center in Courtland, Virginia.

T.L. Faison’s Funeral Care LLC, 301 Park St., Seaboard, North Carolina, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.

The homegoing celebration will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12, in Mount Tabor Baptist Church, 28668 N. Main St., Newsoms, Virginia, with the Rev. Jeremiah Cole delivering words of comfort. Mrs. Barnes will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
