FRANKLIN

During the thunderstorm around 3 p.m., a lightning strike that reportedly occurred behind the El Ranchero restaurant knocked out power in multiple businesses and residences on Armory Road, College Drive and some side streets.

This was confirmed by a representative for the Franklin Municipal Power and Light, who added that workers had only just discovered the site of the lightning hit.

An estimation for repair time was unavailable as yet.
