Franklin Police seeking armed robbery suspects

FRANKLIN

The Franklin Police Department is seeking two suspects in connection with the attempted armed robbery of the Subway on 1311 Armory Drive.

According to Capt. Tim Whitt, spokesman for the department, officers responded to Subway on Wednesday at 9:39 p.m. in reference to an armed robbery. Officers learned that a black male suspect wearing a black hoodie, black pants and gloves entered the business and displayed a handgun.

The employees fled the store, leaving the suspect inside. The suspect then reportedly fled the restaurant, receiving nothing for his efforts. A second suspect, also dressed in dark clothing, was observed behind the restaurant. Both suspects reportedly ran behind the bowling alley.

Franklin Police were assisted by Suffolk Police K-9, who attempted to track the suspects.
