FRANKLIN

On Thursday at 9:27 p.m., Franklin Police officers responded to the 500 block of Washington Street in response to reports of gunfire.

According to department spokesman Capt. Tim Whitt, officers learned that a black male suspect had fired a gun at a person who was at the Hi-Lo at 1400 South St. A house in the 500 block of Washington Street was struck by a bullet, which caused property damage. No one inside the house was injured.
