CARRSVILLE — Raymond Quinton Darden, 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 9, 2018.

He was born in Nansemond County, Virginia, the son of the late Rufus and Dorothy Piland Darden. He was also predeceased by his wife, Daphne Baugham Darden, and five brothers.

Raymond retired as a supervisor from Franklin Concrete Products.

He was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church.

Raymond is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis D. and Bill Felts; sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis R. and Lou Ann Darden, Raymond B. Darden and fiancée, Pam Morris; grandchildren and their spouses, Daniel and Brittany Darden, Michael and Jennifer Darden, Jody Darden and Shea Darden; great grandchildren, Julian and Avacyn; numerous nieces and nephews; and special caregiver and friend, Jeanie Coleman.

The memorial service will be on Thursday, July 12, at 7 p.m. in Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with the Rev. Tim Webb officiating.

Friends may visit with the family immediately following the service in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and the American Diabetes Association.
