It is always standing room only when the well-known and very popular J.B.’s Rattles reptile show comes to town. And strangely, it is popular for both youth and adults.
On Tuesday at the Walter Cecil Rawls Branch Library in Courtland, the show opened the summer reading program to a host of youth from programs of both Franklin, Southampton County and the public. Many dads, moms, grandparents and many brave youth were present for J.B.’s presentation.
On many showing of his snakes and reptiles, J.B. walked through the crowd for those who were brave enough to touch and hold many of his pets.
The summer reading program is a project of the Blackwater Regional Library, and activities will be at both the Courtland and Franklin branches of the library each week.
