FRANKLIN — Thomas Lee Francis, 74, passed away on June 16, 2018.

Tommy was born in Hertford County, North Carolina, a son of the late Frank and Gladys Francis.

He had retired from James S. Green Contractors, and was an Army veteran.

Tommy was a member of High Street Senior Citizens, and was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Gayla of Elizabeth City; a sister, Janie F. Ferguson (James,) and a brother William M. Francis, all of Franklin; a niece, Lynette F. Hill (Steve) and their children, Genna and Lexi of Haymarket; a nephew, James Kevin Ferguson (Allison) and their children, Brooke and Connor of Midlothian; and a nephew, Jamie Worrell (Courtney) and their daughter, Catherine of Drewryville.

The graveside service with military honors will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19, in Southampton Memorial Park with James P. Councill III officiating.

The family will receive friends in the home of Janie and James Ferguson at 21005 Drake Road, Franklin.
