The Franklin Police Department is investigating the theft of copper tubing at the site of the burned down Trinkettes & Treasures building at 210 N. Main St.

According to Capt. Tim Whitt, spokesman for the department, police were informed on June 4 at approximately 8:35 p.m. that the copper tubing had been removed from the remains of the building’s air conditioning system. A citizen provided officers with cell phone camera footage of the incident.

The investigation is still in progress as officers attempt to gain other surveillance footage from other downtown sources.
