FRANKLIN — Peggy Cash Pearce, 75, widow of Charles G. Pearce, passed away on May 27, 2018, at Sentara Hospice House in Virginia Beach.

Mrs. Pearce was born in Franklin County, North Carolina, the only child of the late James Frederick and Nina Pierce Cash.

Mrs. Pearce attended Franklin Baptist Church and was a member of Oak Level Christian Church in Youngsville, North Carolina.

She was a graduate of East Carolina University and was a first grade teacher in the Franklin Public School System for 33 years.

Left to cherish her memory are one son, Christopher Charles Pearce and his wife, Beth Ann; and three grandchildren, Sarah, Emily and Kyle Pearce, all of Suffolk.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Gibson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the funeral home. The burial will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 1, in Oak Level Christian Church Cemetery, Youngsville.
