SHS softball finished first in district

COURTLAND
The Southampton High School Varsity Softball team has a good showing on the All District Team for the Tri Rivers District. The Lady Indians finished first and remained undefeated in the district throughout the season. The following players Southampton Indian received All District Honors: Hilary Newlon, third Base; Diamond Jones, Outfield; Rachel McNeil, Outfield; Maddie Simmons, Utility; Mady Wood, pitcher; and Jordyn Greene, catcher.

Carawan Harris was selected as an honorable mention player.

Junior Madyson Wood was voted as the 2018 Tri Rivers District player of the year, and head coach from Southampton Amy Davis was voted coach of the year.
